BETWEEN THE GRAVES

WHAT IS THIS ?
Between the Graves is a photographic project that seeks to reveal the discreet wildlife of the Madeleine Cemetery in Amiens, a place defined by silence, memory, and dense vegetation. Behind its solemn appearance, the cemetery shelters an unsuspected fauna, fully integrated into the urban ecosystem. The project invites viewers to look at this space differently, highlighting these living presences that often go unnoticed.
Passionate about wildlife photography, Charlie has been exploring this singular place for several years located in the heart of the city yet suspended between nature and urban life. Observing a roe deer, a jay, or a squirrel moving among the graves becomes a powerful, almost moving experience, where the living world enters into dialogue with memory. Through this work, he questions this unexpected and sensitive coexistence between nature and the memory of the dead.
